I was on a roll there briefly with the walking of the dog. We were doing 1 1/2 miles twice a day, in addition to myriad little walks.
Then I bought a new head-collar for her. She was pulling and tugging and jerking the leash so much that I was having some serious neck/shoulder pain. The head collar should end that.
But she doesn't like it, so it took a few days of just doing some minimal walking with it -- short bursts if you will -- to get her used to it.
She still isn't, but we finally did something longer tonight, but probably only about 1/2 mile total. She was doing much better. The times she stopped and rolled in the grass to try and knock the headcollar off were fewer and farther between.
People want to know if she is a service dog with the headcollar. Ha. Not at the rate she is going. This dog is not docile enough to be a service dog...smart enough, yes, but waaaaaay too headstrong.
Off to the club tomorrow morning.
I am going to be so buff.
